For as long as I can remember I I have always been fascinated with the function of the equine hoof. A very close friend told me that in the first grade I declared I was going to be a farrier.
In 2000 I was blessed to be gifted a young colt named Rocky. He helped me continue to develop a profound respect for the horse and a desire to provide them with a more natural lifestyle. When he foundered it sent me down another path into my passion of hoof care. Just when I thought I was going to have to say goodbye I met people who introduced me to the idea of barefoot rehabilitation. The importance of lifestyle(exercise/movement, and emotional well being) and diet combined with correct trimming. I will never forget the joy that I felt as I saw Rocky return to health, soundness, and happiness!
